RAILWAY CONCESSION

Students shall apply for Concessional Railway Season Ticket Certificate at the Office of the Principal in writing, at least a week in advance.
Railway concessions to students are meant to be issued to bonafide students who visit home towns (where the parents or guardians of the students reside) only during the vacation period, i.e. at the beginning of the semester holidays, Christmas/Pongal holidays and summer vacation. No railway concession will be issued for visiting relatives, sight-seeing or proceeding to attend examinations.



BUS CONCESSION

Students who pay up to Rs. 12/- for one way journey alone can apply for concession. The forms can be obtained in the college office.

Minority Scholarship:

Eligibility:
An applicant:

• Must be studying in graduate, postgraduate, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil or PhD.
• Must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination.
• Must belong to the family whose annual income is not more than INR 2 lakh from all the sources.
• Must belong to the minority community (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and Zoroastrian/Parsi).

2. Printout of Online application form.
3. Photo
4. Copy of the Identity card of the worker.
5. Copy of front page of Bank Pass Book (which should contain details of the account holder).
6. Mark Sheet of previous Academic Year
7. Income Certificate issued by the Revenue Authority

Eligibility:

• Either of the parents of the students should be Beedi worker with at least six months service.
• Total monthly Income of the Worker’s family from all sources should not exceed as under:-
• Beedi Workers – Rs.10,000/-
• The Applicant must have passed the last qualifying examination in first attempt.
• Students who receive scholarship or stipend from any other source will not be granted under this Scheme.
• The scholar is ineligible if he fails to make satisfactory progress in the studies or is irregular in attendance or is guilty of misconduct during the academic year for which scholarship has been granted.
