St.John's College

The Department of Mathematics (SF) organized the Association Meeting and welcoming the freshers on 23 rd August, 2018 at our College Auditorium by 11.30 am. The meeting started with a prayer song followed by a prayer. Mr. Kaliraja from II B.Sc.(M) welcomed the gathering. Dr. R. Murugesan, Head of the Department, presided over the meeting and introduced the chief guest. Dr. S. John Kennady Vethanation gave the felicitation. Dr. M. Murugalingam, Director for Department of Mathematics, Sri Saradha College for Women, Palayamkottai was the chief guest for the meeting. In his speech, he motivated the students as well as how to develop the thinking capacity of everyone. The interaction between the chief guest and the students was very nice. Dr. B. Jawahar Samuel, Vice Principal, and Dr. Jeya Sundersingh, Director for Self Financing Courses and all the faculty members from the department attended and graced the meeting. After lunch, the students programme started. Second year students conducted games and tasks for the freshers. Various cultural programmes such as dance, skit, silambam and games were presented in a nice way. Actually the programme had made a strong bond and relationship between the seniors and junior students. The programme ended with the national anthem.
